Sunny started Astella on a simple belief: a ring should be designed the way a story is written, around a person, not a price point. Before any setting is chosen, he wants to know how she moves, what she wears, the kind of thing that catches her eye. The ring begins there.
That instinct is why Astella's own collections borrow from Greek mythology rather than trend reports. Zeus, Celestial, Hera, each carries a meaning Sunny chose deliberately, so a piece can say something about the person wearing it beyond what it cost.

Astella began with a single purpose: to create engagement rings that carry real meaning. That purpose has grown into a wider collection of fine jewellery and wedding bands, designed for the moments that follow the proposal as much as the moment itself.
In practice, that means a consultation before a catalogue. Every piece is designed around the person it's for, then handcrafted in Astella's own Birmingham workshop, in the same square mile the trade has worked for two hundred years. Symbolic detail, a hidden halo, a sculpted gallery, a motif drawn from myth, is built in at the design stage, not added after.
Lab-grown diamonds sit at the centre of that work, chosen for the way they let a design speak first without limiting size or quality to budget. Natural diamonds remain available for anyone who asks. Either way, the ring is made to be worn for a lifetime, not judged on a receipt.
